Jason's Grandpa Morehead passed away early last week, and we were able to head out to Scottsbluff this past weekend for the funeral. I was grateful for the opportunity to meet all Jason's aunts and uncles and several of his cousins and to come just a little closer to being able to wrap my mind (and heart) around this new name and family that I acquired (almost two years ago now). It was deeply good to walk around the farm with Jason, to listen as he fondly recounted playing in the "forest" with his brother and cousins or working in the fields with his grandpa, to drink in some of the sights and breathe in the smells of my sweet husband's earliest childhood memories.
love this shot and the others. sometimes i miss the wide open space...
I was perusing your flickr shots and when I hit this one I couldn't help but wonder if you had blogged. Sure enough, you picked this for a post... Love it. And I love your big sky pics, too.
Your pictures really captured the farm. I'm ready to go back again! Glad you got to meet the family.
